What is Lambing?

Lambing is difficult to translate directly. It is a mix of sweetness, affection, cuddling, and babying someone. When a Filipina says “I want lambing,” she wants to be cuddled, spoken to softly, or pampered.

The Role of Lambing in Conflict

Lambing is the primary tool to resolve conflict in Filipino relationships.

• Western conflicts are often resolved with Logic (“Let’s discuss X”).
• Filipino conflicts are often resolved with Lambing (Restoring emotional connection first).

If she has tampo, you use lambing to fix it. You don’t debate who was right. You hug her, kiss her forehead, and use a soft voice (“uy, sorry na…”) to melt the ice.

Are You “Malambing”?

Filipinas love men who are malambing. This doesn’t mean you have to be weak. It means you are capable of softness. A stoic, cold man might struggle in a relationship with a Filipina who craves constant emotional reassurance through touch and sweet words.
